my daughter will be soon going for a guide dog. When she gets back from training, what advice do any of you have about introducing him/her to our pet canine? Any assistance would me most appreciated. I'm really concerned about this and want to do the right thing. Thanks so much!!!

do it in a nutral place, like a park or soemwhere where neither dog feels it's their teritory. that's the main thing.

also, keep them on keasgesleads, or leashes as americans know them. at least funtil you know there will be no agression between the two dogs.

Yes, that's what they told us to do at GEB. They should have told your daughter that too.

when I brought my current guide Ditra home from training, our pet golden retriever barked at her a little bit, but that wsa not unexpected. yes, do keep them both on a leash.

I agree with what everyone else has said here. the school your daughter has goone too will probably also give suggestions. But, first thing to have them meet on neutral ground and keep on leash. I would slowly increase how much interaction they have together.
